Blair Stobbe
My Approach
Hello, my name is Blair (she/they)! I am a queer, neurodivergent therapist located in Edmonton, Alberta and I am honoured that you are considering me as a part of your mental health journey. I believe that our lived experiences shape who we are and how we perceive the world. Likewise, these experiences uniquely influence what gives our lives meaning and purpose. I use an integration of ACT, Narrative, Existential, Feminist, and Queer informed therapies to explore authenticity from a lens of non-judgement, genuineness, curiosity, and warmth that directs the discovery of authenticity towards living a life that feels meaningful and purposeful, even when things get hard. It is also focused on using coping tools to confront the difficult thoughts or emotions in your life as they come up, instead of attempting to will them away. I care deeply about the broader social picture of one’s life and integrate exploration about one’s place in the world, society, and culture, and how to deal with outside sources influencing well-being.

On a Personal Note
My identity as a bisexual, transgender person and as a competitor informs both my areas of focus and practice. It is my goal to create a space where you feel comfortable expressing yourself in a way that is authentic to who you really are. I have been privileged to work with so many members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and feel honoured to work with a group that is so close to my heart.
In my spare time, I am a professional Esports shoutcaster. This has allowed me to travel all over Canada, Europe, and the United States and given me opportunities to interact with such a wide variety of interesting, passionate, and unique people. Other than that, I am a huge movie nerd. The theatre is my happy place and I love discovering hidden gems or rewatching old favourites. I also play competitive video games, competitive card games, go on walks, and airbrush when I am able to find the time!
